On June 26th, 2025, I conducted the second iteration of my full-day workshop “Deep Learning with Humans-In-The-Loop: Active Learning for NLP” as part of the BERD Academy by BERD@NFDI. The workshop covered Human-In-The-Loop Learning and Deep Active Learning with Large Language Models, providing participants with both theoretical foundations and practical applications. On May 13th, 2025, I gave a talk titled “Was haben Vogelstimmen mit Windkraftanlagen zu tun?” in the public lecture series “KI, Klima und Energie – Innovationen für eine nachhaltige Zukunft” (“AI, Climate and Energy – Innovations for a Sustainable Future”), hosted by the Center of Competence for Artificial Intelligence at TH Aschaffenburg. The series ran across eleven talks aimed at a general audience, on applications of AI at the intersection of technology and climate. Details about the lecture series can be found here.
I had the pleasure of conducting a full-day workshop titled “Deep Learning with Humans-In-The-Loop: Active Learning for NLP” on July 4th, 2024. This event was part of the BERD Academy by BERD@NFDI.
